Here in Georgia Anthem is providing some premium rate relief for certain products because of the pandemic. I received the following information from Anthem:
Anthem, the Georgia Chamber SMART Plans and Georgia FARM Bureau Health Care Plans continue to look for ways to provide support and financial relief to you and your employees during the COVID-19 emergency. Shelter-in-place orders across the country have caused significant disruptions to traditional patterns of care. As a response to these challenges, Georgia SMART and FARM Plans will issue premium-equivalent credits based on April 2020 medical invoices. If you also have dental Fully Insured coverage with Anthem, you will receive a premium credit on that as well. You will see the credit on your August 2020 invoice (issued in July 2020) for:
- 10% of the April premium-equivalent bill for your Anthem medical plan
- 50% of the April premium bill for your Anthem dental plan (if applicable)
