Angus founded the independent insurance agency in 1992 after having worked for a third-party administrator for three years. A native of Ocala, Florida, he graduated from Florida State University in 1984. There he was active in the national business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, serving as chapter president in 1983. In 1989, he graduated from Emory University with a master’s degree in business administration (MBA). He earned the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation in 1993.
